Natacha Colmez-Collard

Natacha Colmez-Collard obtained her national higher professional diploma as a musician with the unanimous mention of the jury at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique (CNSM) in Paris in the class of Michel Strauss and Guillaume Paoletti.  Winner of several national competitions, Natacha has shown an interest in music theory by completing her studies in Music Education, Harmony, Analysis, Art History and Music Culture. Passionate about chamber music, she received instruction from Pascal Le Corre, Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Valérie Aimard in sonata training. This formation won the Bellan Competition Honorary Award. Natacha worked with the musicians of the Ysaÿe quartet at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris in piano trio formation.

Natacha joins the most prestigious orchestras of young musicians, performing under the direction of Antonio Pappano, Vladimir Ashkenazy, and Herbert Blomstedt in the most beautiful venues throughout Europe and on the East Coast of the United States of America. She was appointed principal cello of the Douai Orchestra, then joined the ranks of the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra. She has toured with the cello section of the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas and Sir Simon Rattle.
